Privacy policy

This page explains what data GameTopBase collects, what we use it for and what you can do about it.
1. Controller
The data controller is GameTopBase. You can reach us at contacto@gametopbase.com.
2. What we collect
When you sign up: username, email and password (stored hashed; we never see it in plain text).
When you list a server: the details you enter on its page.
When you vote: an irreversibly hashed identifier of your IP, to limit repeated votes, and your game account name if you enter it to receive the reward.
When you review a server: your rating and comment, published with your username.
When you sign in: the IPs you sign in from, irreversibly hashed, to detect fake accounts; and, when you sign in from a new device, its browser, system and IP, which we show you in the security notice so you know whether it was you.
When you buy a featured listing: the plan, amount and payment status. The payment itself is processed by NOWPayments.
3. What we use it for
To run your account and servers, count votes and prevent fraud, process the featured listings you buy and answer your messages. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
To send you emails: the ones your account needs (confirming your email, password recovery and security notices), which are always sent, and the notifications you choose in your dashboard, under Emails. You can turn those off there or with the “Stop getting these emails” link in each one.
4. Who we share it with
With the server you vote for: if that server gives rewards, we send it your game account name and IP so it can deliver them and prevent abuse.
With NOWPayments, to process cryptocurrency payments.
With our email provider, which sends emails on our behalf (it only receives your email address and each message's content).
With Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled, to check that voters are human.
Country flags are loaded from flagcdn.com, which can see your IP like any site that serves images.
5. Cookies
We only use necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in and one that remembers the language you chose. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
6. How long we keep it
Account data, for as long as you keep your account. If you don't confirm your email, the account is deleted 7 days after signing up.
Vote records, for as long as needed for the ranking and fraud detection. Payment data, as long as the law requires.
Read notifications are deleted after 90 days and sent emails are kept for 30 days (to retry the ones that fail). Sessions expire after 30 days without using the site.
The site's activity history (sign-ups, servers created, payments…) is kept so we can look into abuse and complaints.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contacto@gametopbase.com. If you think we are not handling it properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, the current version and its date will be published here.
