Project Ebonhold

Project Ebonhold is a customized World of Warcraft experience developed on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client. Its main attraction is a roguelite game mode inspired by action-survival games, rather than conventional WoW leveling alone. In the roguelite experience, characters start each run at level 1 and select abilities known as Echoes while progressing. These abilities modify combat and allow players to develop different builds. Completing activities earns Soul Ashes, which can be invested in an account-wide skill tree. Death ends an individual run, but permanent upgrades remain available for future attempts. Progression focuses on repeated runs, new combinations of abilities, character improvements and encounters inspired by WotLK content. The project also publishes development plans and updates for its custom gameplay. To participate, visit the official website and use a compatible WotLK 3.3.5a client.
